Linda Matthews

Consultant Psychotherapist

 

Based at Leeds Centre

 

Linda is a Consultant Psychotherapist whose main therapeutic orientaton is Cognitive Psychotherapy.  She holds an MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy  and an MA in Integrative Counselling along with her earlier Social Work qulaification.

 

Linda is an Accredited Practitioner and an Accredited Supervisor with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) holding a PG Dip in supervision for both CBT and Counselling.  Recently Linda retired from her Consultant's post in the NHS to enable her to concentrate on her private practice, along with wanting to enjoy more time with her husband and new grandaughter. Having over 25 years of experience in working in mental health, the main focus of her work is with people who suffer from psychological difficulties following trauma along with working with other psychological presentations, such as depression, panic, generalised anxiety, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, loss, health anxiety and stress related difficulties. 

 

Linda works in the main with people 16 years and upwards, and will also work with couples. An assessment of the client's particular needs would always be undertaken in the first instance.

 

When not working, Linda is usually enjoying lots of snuggles with her beloved grandaughter and enjoying lots of quality time with her family.
