Specialist ASD Service

We are thrilled to announce that Northern Clinical Psychology Services (NCPS) has teamed up with The Talking House Ltd (An independent Speech and Language Service) the to provide a brand new and comprehensive Autism diagnostic assessment service.

 

We have a specilaist ASD team consisting of:

  • Clinical Psychologists
  • A Speech and Language Therapist
  • A Consultant Psychiatrist

All of our team have extensive, specialist training and experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Neuroscientists show that melanin-concentrating hormone neurons within the hypothalamus increase REM sleep when the need for body temperature defense is minimized, such as when sleeping in a warm and comfortable room temperature. These data have important implications for the function of REM sleep.
